Family Option

Separate all-ages kids walkthrough (about 7 minutes) with its own entrance. Adults are welcome and encouraged to visit before the main haunt. No scare actors, blood or gore; lights, music, sounds and darkness are present.

Our Story & Vision

Fear Fathers grew from a love of Halloween, building, creativity, scares and community. This is the fifth consecutive year of the home haunt. Last year approximately 250 guests came through, and the 2026 goal is approximately 400 guests across four nights.

The Islands Afterdark offers two walkthroughs with separate entrances: a kids experience without scare actors, blood or gore, and a more intense adult haunted house. Each area has its own theme, scares, sounds, props and surprises. We won't show you the route — you'll have to find out what's waiting for yourself.

SENSORY WARNING: Both experiences may include flashing or changing lights, music, loud sounds, darkness, fog or haze, and other sensory effects. The adult haunt also includes live scare actors, jump scares and simulated gore. Neither experience is advertised as sensory-friendly.

HAUNT ROOM EXAMPLES

Without giving away the route, themes you may encounter include pirates and cannons, a toxic biohazard scene, a web-filled spider area, ghosts, a haunted doll bedroom, a gruesome kitchen butcher scene, blood and gore effects, a disturbing padded room, an electric chair, vomiting/gross-out effects, and other surprises we are keeping secret.

SEPARATE KIDS WALKTHROUGH

TWO HAUNTS. TWO SEPARATE ENTRANCES.

The kids walkthrough takes about 7 minutes, is open to all ages, and makes a fun warm-up before the main haunt. Adults are encouraged to experience both attractions, and repeat trips are welcome when capacity allows. The kids route has no scare actors, blood or gore, but does have lights, music, sounds and darkness; it is not sensory-friendly. The adult attraction has its own entrance and a more intense 10–12 minute experience. Parents and guardians should choose based on each child's comfort level.

OUR MONSTERS DON'T INTENTIONALLY TOUCH YOU.

But they may get close. Please return the favor: do not touch, grab, hit or push our actors, props, animatronics or set pieces.

RULES & CONDUCT

These rules protect our guests, actors, volunteers, monsters, props, home and neighborhood. Please review them before entering so everyone can have a safe, fun night.

NO TOUCHING

Actors will not intentionally touch you. Do not touch actors, monsters, staff, props, animatronics, décor, walls or set pieces.

STAY WITH YOUR GROUP

Follow the marked path, keep moving at a safe pace and do not enter actor corridors, backstage spaces or blocked-off areas.

NO RUNNING OR PUSHING

Walk at all times. Darkness and effects can reduce visibility. Running, shoving or reckless behavior is not permitted.

NO WEAPONS OR DANGEROUS ITEMS

Do not bring firearms, knives, replica weapons, laser pointers, fireworks or other dangerous items onto the property.

NO SMOKING / VAPING / ALCOHOL

Please do not smoke, vape, bring alcohol or enter while visibly intoxicated or impaired.

PHONES & PHOTOGRAPHY

Keep phones secured while walking through. Flashlights, flash photography and disruptive recording may ruin scares and create safety issues.

RESPECT THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Please keep voices and music reasonable while arriving and leaving, do not block driveways and dispose of trash properly.

STAFF DIRECTIONS

Please follow instructions from Fear Fathers staff and volunteers. Unsafe, destructive or abusive behavior may result in immediate removal from the haunt.

Health & Sensory Advisory

Both walkthroughs may feature flashing or strobe-style effects, theatrical fog/haze, intense music and sounds, darkness, and strong scents. The adult route additionally features live scare actors, startling effects, simulated gore and frightening imagery. The kids route has no scare actors, blood or gore, but is not guaranteed to be low-sensory. Guests with sensitivities to flashing lights, fog, loud sound, strong scents or intense startle effects should use caution and decide whether the attraction is appropriate for them.

Families & Younger Guests

Two separate entrances are available: a kids walkthrough with no scare actors, blood or gore, and an adult haunt with more intense scares. The kids route can still include lights, music, sounds, darkness and other sensory effects. Neither route is described as sensory-friendly. Parents and guardians should judge each child's comfort level.

The Islands Afterdark offers two separately entered haunted walkthroughs. The adult attraction may include sudden loud noises, darkness, low visibility, flashing or strobe-style lighting, theatrical fog or haze, strong themed scents, startling effects, animatronics, live scare actors, frightening imagery, tight or confined spaces, and simulated blood and gore. The separate kids experience has no scare actors, blood or gore, but can include lights, music, sounds, fog and darkness. Neither walkthrough is sensory-friendly.

OUR MONSTERS WILL NOT INTENTIONALLY TOUCH YOU.
Please do not touch, grab, hit, push, or harass our monsters, actors, volunteers, props, animatronics, decorations, walls, or set pieces.

If you become uncomfortable or need to leave at any point, notify a Fear Fathers team member and we will help you exit the attraction.

Repeat visits: The Kids Walkthrough can be enjoyed again when capacity allows. For the Adult Haunted House, every visit requires joining the back of the line again, including repeat visits. No immediate re-entry or line skipping.

NO RSVP REQUIRED! Walk-ins are welcome. You can simply show up and join the line. Optional RSVPs help us plan, but do not reserve a spot or guarantee entry.

Do not enter neighboring yards or private property.
Please dispose of trash properly.
Follow all posted parking, line, and queue instructions.

Will the actors or monsters touch me?

No. Our actors will not intentionally touch guests. We ask guests not to touch actors, monsters, props, animatronics or sets either.

Yes. The kids walkthrough takes about 7 minutes, welcomes all ages (including adults), and is a great warm-up before the main haunt. Repeat visits are welcome when capacity allows. It has a separate entrance with no scare actors, blood or gore, but includes lights, music, sounds and darkness. The more intense adult haunt has its own entrance and takes about 10–12 minutes to walk through.

Can I go through more than once?

Yes! You may repeat the Kids Walkthrough when capacity allows. Every visit to the Adult Haunted House, including repeat visits, requires joining the back of the regular line again. No line skipping or immediate re-entry.

Do I need to RSVP?

No. RSVP is optional, but it helps us estimate attendance and staffing.
